ABOUT Yamabushido

Over mountains, through forests, across rivers, and under waterfalls, Yamabushido is your chance to be one of the first in the world to partake in a collection of authentic ascetic mountain practices under the guidance of Master Hoshino.

Curated especially for an international audience for the first time ever, Yamabushido is open to anyone, religious, non-religious, male, female or otherwise, looking for the strength to overcome the challenges of tomorrow.

Our Two Programs

Yamabushido Extended Training

Yamabushido Extended Training

This is a full five-day experience. It takes place on Mt.Haguro, Mt.Gassan, and Mt.Yudono (all three sacred mountains in Dewa). Limited seats are available.

Yamabushido Basic Training

Yamabushido Basic Training

This is a three-day experience. It takes place on Mt.Haguro, and Mt Kinbō. It requires less physical strength than Yamabushido Extended Training, still includes Waterfall meditation session.

Options and customized experiences are also available.
